Fitmy is a fitness social platform designed to help users track their progress, discover gyms, and connect with a community of fitness enthusiasts. This Privacy Policy is designed to clearly explain how Fitmy ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with our mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By using the Fitmy Service, you understand and agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information directly when you provide it to us, automatically as you use the Service, and in some cases, from third parties.
A. Information You Provide to Us (Account and Content Data)
We collect data you voluntarily input or create when setting up and using your account:
Contact & Account Information:
- Registration Data: Your name, email address, phone number, and physical address. We use this data primarily for account creation, identification, and critical service communications.
- Identifiers: A unique user ID is created when you register, and we also collect your device ID for authentication and security.
Health & Fitness Data (Highly Sensitive):
- Fitness Goals: Specific goals you set within the app (e.g., weight loss targets, strength milestones).
- Workout Logs: Detailed records of your activities, including exercises, duration, weight lifted, sets, repetitions (reps), and any associated notes.
- Pictures: Fitness-related photos or videos you choose to upload to document your progress.
User-Generated Content:
- Feed Content: Photos, videos, and accompanying captions you post to your profile or the public feed.
- Interactions: Public comments and "likes" you make on other users' content. Note: Fitmy does not currently offer private messaging (DM) functionality.
Customer Support & Communication:
Any communication records, including emails, associated with your inquiries to our support team.
B. Information Collected Automatically (Technical and Usage Data)
When you access and use the Service, we automatically collect technical and diagnostic information:
Location Data:
- Precise Location: We collect your real-time precise geographical location using device permissions (e.g., GPS, Wi-Fi) only when you actively use the 'Discover Gyms' feature. This data is used solely to identify and display registered gyms in your immediate vicinity.
- Approximate Location: We may derive your approximate location from your IP address or other network information to understand regional usage and ensure compliance.
Technical Data:
Information about your device, including the device type, app version, operating system (OS) version, browser type, and time zone setting.
Usage and Session Data:
Details about how you interact with the Service, such as the pages you view, the features you access, and the duration of your sessions.
Diagnostics:
Crash data and performance data that help us monitor the stability and performance of the Service. This diagnostic data is currently transferred via email to our development team for immediate analysis and troubleshooting.
3. How We Use the Information
We use the collected data to operate, maintain, and improve the Fitmy Service, to communicate with you, and to protect ourselves and our users.

We do not sell personal data to anyone. Furthermore, we do not share your personal data with any third parties for their independent marketing or advertising purposes.

Public Content Sharing
Any photos, videos, captions, comments, and profile information you choose to post on your profile or the public feed will be visible to all other users of the Fitmy platform.
Service Providers
We share necessary data with trusted third-party vendors, consultants, and service providers who need access to the data to perform services on our behalf and under our instructions. These include:
- Hosting and Storage: We use Vercel for application hosting and Neon for secure data storage.
- Providers for email delivery, push notifications, and content delivery networks (CDNs).
Legal and Regulatory Requirements
We may disclose your information if we believe it is necessary to comply with any applicable law, regulation, legal process (e.g., a subpoena or court order), or governmental request.

We may share your information with third parties when you provide us with explicit consent to do so for a specific purpose.

Data Portability
You have the right to request a copy of the personal data you have provided to us.
8. Children&aposs Privacy
The Fitmy Service is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, children under the age of 15. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take immediate steps to delete the information.
